ALIVE at 25" Course NEW LOCATIONS!!
Two new locations have been added to the
Alive at 25 programs... Brighton in Rochester NY and Oswego NY.
In Brighton the class will be in the Stage Conference room of Brighton
Town Hall. In Oswego, classes will be held on the SUNY Oswego Campus in
Rich Hall and at the SUNY Oswego Extension site in Phoenix NY. Check

This four hour driver improvement course is
specifically designed for young adults ages 16 - 24. Based on the
principals of personal responsibility while driving, certified instructors
teach the basics of defensive driving and the skills to help deal with
everyday situations while driving with passengers. This course is used in

Fundamentals of Industrial Hygiene-Syracuse
Gain a practical understanding of
industrial hygiene issues in this premier NSC course! The four day
interactive program taught by a certified industrial hygienist with OSHA
experience is scheduled for September 16- 19, 2013 in our training center
in Syracuse. Registration fees include continental breakfast,
complete lunch, Participant guide, FIH 5th edition, a Tools and Resources
CD, NIOSH Pocket Guide and the Indices for Threshold Limit Values for
Chemical Substances, Physical Agents and Biological Exposures.

Council Director Moves to Board of Directors
Chapter Board Chairperson, Debbie Kogut,
announced that the Chapter's Director, Irene Scruton has accepted a
position at SUNY Oswego. Ms. Scruton will remain on the Council's Board of
Directors to continue her efforts with the Alive at 25 initiatives and to
assist with the transition. Ivona Popiel, the Council's Administrator, was
named the Council's Interim Director. The Board will be announcing a
search committee at their annual meeting.
Ms Kogut thanked Irene on behalf of the
Board, for her years of service to the Chapter's safety mission including
developing the Council into an accredited, full service Chapter and
guiding it through recent economic challenges. Ms. Scruton stated it was a
privilege to work with the dedicated staff, Board, companies and
instructors to make our roads and workplaces safer. "As a Board member, I
look forward to helping advance the Council efforts with the "Alive at 25"
teen driver improvement program. It can help save the lives of
young drivers in our Upstate communities."
